Nature of request
Selby requests restoration of his lands in the liberty of Durham according to the covenants made between him and Umfraville, Greystoke and Eure for the surrender of Mitford castle whereby they would cause him to have the king's peace and all his lands without loss, although they had been taken into the king's hand as an adherent of the king's enemies. The king granted that the agreement should be held to, and the sheriff of Northumberland and the bishop of Durham were ordered to restore the lands, the sheriff has done so, but the bishop has not done so and has granted them to others.
Nature of endorsement
He should sue to the bishop that he do justice to him. If he will not do this, then he should sue in Chancery to have a writ to the bishop that he do right and sue process as has been used before these hours.
