Nature of request
Strete requests the livery of the body of John son of John Lenveysy and of the manors of Hook Norton and Coombe Bissett to hold the same according to the law since it should pertain to them as the nearest kin but the manors and the body of the heir have been taken into the king's hand as it was thought that the lands had descended to him by inheritance when it came to the heir by sale.
