- The Prior and canons of Healaugh Park state that they are impoverished and too poor to serve God in the number that was ordained at the time of their foundation, because modern people have less devotion to God than their predecessors and because most of their lands are in the north where they have been destroyed by the Scots, and they ask that they might be able to acquire lands, tenements, rents or appropriation of churches to the value of £10 to support themselves.
