Nature of request
The scholars of the University of Oxford state that the scribe who wrote the charter of their franchises has, through negligence, written 'the Lord Edward, formerly king of England, our grandfather', instead of 'father' as it should be. They ask that this might be corrected.
Nature of endorsement
The charter is to be seen and examined in Chancery, and if the defect is found to be in the clerk's negligence and not otherwise, then the charter is to be corrected and amended.
