Newcastle to Cumberland: Queen Anne's Proclamation has been studied by the lord chancellor and the attorney general, who are of opinion it does not accord with the treaty signed by Lord Bolingbroke in Paris. Sandwich has written in a second letter to Byng that [the cease fire] in the Mediterranean cannot take place in less than three months. Objections of St Severin. Newcastle hopes to see Sandwich at Cumberland's headquarters. Dated at The Hague. PS. that the king has approved his recent letters to Sandwich. ff. 28-31
