Sudan (now Republic of Sudan). 'Khartoum and Omdurman. Reduced in the Intelligence Division, War Office, from a map compiled by Col. R.C. Slatin, 1898'. Reference table to buildings, etcetera; (signed) Colonel R C Slatin, Vienna, 25 June 1898. Approximate scale: 2 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicator. IDWO 1361: heliozincographed at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1898; published by Edward Stanford for the War Office. MS pencil additions showing land acquired by War Department, 24 October 1901.
