Gibraltar. (15) 'Sketch showing the Site and Appropriation of the Public Buildings in the South Bastion and its vicinity'. Reference table to buildings. Scale: 4 inches to 200 feet [1:600]. Compass indicator. (16) 'Sketch of the Ground in the rear of Princess of Wales's Battery showing the Situation proposed for the new Laboratory Establishment'. Reference table. Scale: plan 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]; section 1 inch to 10 feet [1:120]; site plan 1 inch to 200 feet [1:2,400]. Compass indicator. Both originally enclosed in letter of 23 January 1832 from Cornelius Mann, Col CRE, to the Respective Officers at Gibraltar, about the choice of site for a new laboratory following an explosion. Dimensions of sheets: (15) 27 cm x 44 cm; (16) 55 cm x 40 cm.
