Description

Crauford [to Harrington]: as the Hessians are all embarked, they intend to fall down to Helvoetsluys that evening or early next day, and from there, as soon as the wind permits, to Tynemouth or Berwick. If no fresh orders are received there, he will go on to Leith according to his instructions, of which he encloses a copy [SP 87/20/54]. He encloses the result of a counsel on whether the prince [Frederick of Hesse] should travel on the yacht or a warship [SP 87/20/53]. As the frost is setting in, they have determined to sail that night. Dated at Willemstad. ff. 91, 92
