Newcastle to Cumberland, explaining the reason for his order to Crauford and Mordaunt to bring home the garrison of Ostend. Four regiments [named] are ordered to Gravesend and the North British Fusiliers to Leith. French and Spanish naval forces in the western ports of France. Provision of weapons and clothing for the exchanged prisoners. Belle-Isle has landed at Calais and gone directly to court. Imminent return of the king. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 398-403
