Königsegg to Harrington: he has not felt it necessary to correspond before, but he wishes to communicate his fears for the rest of the campaign. The fact that the French can draw on their militias and detachments from Conti's army means they are much stronger than at the start of the campaign. If the left wing had behaved as well as the right [at Fontenoy] the day would have been won. The allies have probably only 40,000 troops in the field. Dated at camp at Lessines. ff. 144-147
