- The Abbot and convent of Shap state that Robert, son of John de Vespount, formerly lord of Westmorland, granted them by his charter 4 marks annually, to be received in certain vills from the cornage of that country, and that they were seised of this until the forfeiture of Roger de Clifford. They ask the king to order the Sheriff of Westmorland to allow them to receive this money, and to confirm their charter.
