Petitioners
Mayor and commonalty of Dublin.
Nature of request
1) The petitioners state that they are prosecuted against the law by the justices of the Bench by writs when they should only answer them by writs made in their presence within the court and concerning the king. They request remedy.2) The petitioners further complain that each time their charters of liberties are shown and allowed before the justices fines are demanded by them. They request remedy.
Nature of endorsement
A writ concerning the effect of the petition is to be sent to the justices of the Dublin Bench that they are not to trouble the burgesses on the contents of the petition.
