The people complain of the actions of Alred who is an open enemy of the king, and who after involvement in the war in Wales now lives in the vill. They request a writ to the sheriff to seize his body.
Nature of endorsement
It is ordered to the keepers of the peace there that they should inquire upon the contents in the petition, and they should do further what is just in that matter according to the form of their commission.
