Nature of request
The people request that the king grant to them the deliverance of their children who are hostages in the castle of Chester.
Nature of endorsement
It is agreed by the council that of the 18 children who reside as hostages continually in the castle that it be ordered to the justice that he release 6 of the children in succession from week to week, but if it seems to the justice that there be trouble then he is to hold the children as before.
