Nature of request
The bishop states that Dellesfeld made a recognizance in the Exchequer in a certain sum to Despenser. The bishop paid Despenser and received acquittances. He requests that the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer view the acquittances and withdraw the recognizances so that the bishop and Dellesfeld are not subsequently impeached.
Nature of endorsement
He should take the acquittances to the Exchequer before the treasurer and barons. And when they have viewed them they are to be allowed, and the bishop be quit.

Note
The petition can be firmly dated to 1328 by the writ addressed to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer in accordance with the petition and response, and referring to the bishop's petition (CCR 1327-30, p.336).
