Nature of request
Cape states that he has been in the king's service for a long time in France and he has received no pay or consideration, and his houses have been burnt, and his goods carried away in each of the king's wars. He requests the king's letters to the pope to grant him by his special grace the first available canonry with a prebend in the church of St Andrew of Bordeaux.
