- The petitioners state that they have been granted that they are able to summon burgesses and lay people of the town of Cambridge in personal actions before the chancellor of the University. They request that the king grant to them that the chancellor have cognizance of all personal actions concerning them, and that no other judge in the county should have cognizance.

- They should show in Chancery what they have concerning this, and if they had it at the will of the king's grandfather, and have it still at the will of the king by his letters patent.
