- Brisele and Coloigne state that they lately had the gold and silver mines in Devon and Somerset for the terms of 15 years by a patent of the king rendering to the king the 9th part. If the mines should fail they were to be quit and discharged as is contained in the patent. The mines are exhausted and they have requested for a long time to be discharged and are still not able to be delivered. They request that they be discharged.
