Nature of request
Copy of a legal process, taken as far as the findings of a jury, between Philip de Say and Thomas de Heywode, Geoffrey his brother, William de Ware, Thomas Wemec, Thomas de Keel and Adam le Keu, who are accused, together with Geoffrey de Wolsele, of entering Philip's houses at Marchamley, carrying off his corn and committing other wrongs: whereas Geoffrey de Wolsele claims that the corn carried off belonged to his free chapel of Marchamley as tithes.

[Endorsement to SC 8/31/1515] Because the matter is pending before the king, he is to sue there if he wishes.

Note
Geoffrey de Wolsele's appearance to claim that the corn is his tithes is dated at the quinzaine of Hilary 14 Edward II (1321), and the jurors give their verdict at the quinzaine of Hilary 15 Edward II (1522). A date is then given to the parties at the quinzaine of Easter to hear judgment.CPR 1317-21 p.94 is dated at Westminster, 22 November 1317, and CPR 1321-4 p.146 is dated at Gloucester, 9 February 1322.
