1) The petitioners state that the king granted the advowson of the church of Chesterton, formerly held by the Abbot and Abbey of Vercelli in Lombardy, to King's Hall. They request that since they were inundated with water in the college that the king grant them a small piece of land adjacent to the college to make a conduit. They further request that the king convert a grant of clothing to be taken at the warranty to the value of £40 taken at the Wardrobe to a cash payment of 40 marks to be taken from the sheriffs of London and Middlesex. To safeguard these grants from the act of resumption they request that a provision be made in the act concerning it.2) Draft clause for the act of resumption.
