The Prior of Blyth states that although it was ordained that no perpetual prior like himself should be removed, a secular parson called master John de Midelton, by colour of a letter patent recently purchased from the king, has expelled him from the priory, sold its corn and wasted and given away its goods and chattels, both spiritual and temporal, so that the prior has nothing to live off, and the alms, divine services, and other charges on the priory have ceased. He requests that this letter patent might be revoked, and that he might be restored.
