- The mariners of the realm of England state that they have laboured long in the king's service, on sea and elsewhere, and are completely ruined. They request that their wages be increased, as they have hitherto had only 3d. a day and 6d. a week, and cannot survive on that.

- The king, on the advice of his great council, will do what seems to him is to be done.
