- Somery shows that he was in the peace of the king and had the manor of Bygrave. By the accusation and procurement of certain illwishers certain men, namely Prestbury and others of the county of Hertford came to the manor and took his goods and chattels to the value of £200 and were held by Baldock, though he was not of their affinity. He requests grace and remedy. He further requests that whereas Baldock has been granted the keeping of the lands of the heir of Hugh Bigod in Orwell until he is of age, that he can have this keeping in restitution and allowance of the goods and chattels taken from him.
