- The commons show that whereas they should pay a certain sum to the king for the fifteenth of the county, the commission made to certain men to assess each hundred and tithing according to their goods and chattels has assessed some higher and some lower by favours and gifts because of which many tenants have abandoned their tenancies. The commonalty request that he make a commission to good and loyal men of the county to redress this, saving the sum now paid to the king.
