Adam la Geyte states that he bought from Adam de Sleygil all his right in a land and tenement, with appurtenances, in Tebay in Westmorland, which Adam de Sleygil lost by default. Adam la Geyte currently holds it of the king, for a certain sum of money to be paid in the Exchequer annually, and now asks that he might have it, for himself and his heirs, to hold of the king for the services which were due before Adam de Sleygil lost it, or at least for the term of his life for those services.
