Nature of request
Roger de Grey states that when the king ordered Simon de Baldeston, keeper of the lands that had belonged to John de Grey, his father, to deliver these lands to Roger, together with their issues, Simon had already delivered the issues to the treasury. Therefore he requests a writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that the issues be returned to him, or allowed to him in any debts which his father owes.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent to Chancery, and the inquisitions which it mentions are to be examined. If it is found that it is so, then the treasurer and barons of the exchequer are to be ordered by writ of Chancery that they are to make Roger due restitution or at least due allowance for the issues of his lands thus delivered to the treasury by the keeper of those lands.
