- Isabel, daughter of Matthew de Malton states that her father leased to Alan le Maltestere five cottages and to John Vapurnyent a messuage, with appurtenances, in Pontefract, for the term of their lives, and that after their deaths these tenements should have returned to her, as Matthew's daughter and heir; but after the deaths of Alan and John, Thomas, earl of Lancaster, seized them into his hand, and held them until he was forfeited. They are now in the king's hand, so Isabel requests grace and a remedy from him.
