- They state that they hold the town of Colchester of the king at fee farm, for £35 per annum, but have only tolls and customs to make up that farm, which are not sufficient. However, there are several empty sites in the town, which they could exploit to raise money for the farm without harm or prejudice to anyone: therefore they request that they may be able to build on these and let them to farm, in aid of their farm.
