Description
Petitioners
Burgesses of Colchester.

King and council.
Nature of request
They state that they hold the town of Colchester of the king at fee farm, for £35 per annum, but have only tolls and customs to make up that farm, which are not sufficient. Coram rege. There is to be an enquiry into the harm etc., and into what has been done previously in this case, and what empty sites there are, and how many, and how large each one is and what it is worth etc.
