Chesterfield to Cumberland: the king is disappointed with the attitude of the marquis de Puissieux, but is having his proposals studied. Preparations must be made for the next campaign. The king is prepared to pay his share for Russian and Danish troops. The person claiming to treat for Spain is in London. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 287-289
