Letter written by Colonel Jean Kina, prisoner, to the Duke of Portland. He suggests using all the small islands which are near Guadeloupe to bring all free 'coloured' prisoners of war, and their families, together and to form regiments in order to attack Guadeloupe and Porto Rico and to attack Toussaint [Louverture]. He asserts that some 'coloureds', who had been expelled from Saint Domingue by Toussaint, would be happy to join him to take revenge and return home. He reasserts his faith towards the British authority. Pages 15-18
