Description

Correspondence, original - Secretary of State: mainly from the period of British occupation of Martinique and including correspondence with and about Colonel Jean Kina of Saint-Dominque [Haiti], a former slave who fought with whites against both free people of colour and slave insurgents, ultimately joining the British side. Also includes reports of naval councils of war in the 1690s.
