Switzerland; Italy. (1) 'Plan d'un Avant-Projet de chemin de fer par le Simplon entre Gamsen (Valais) et Domo d'Ossola [Domodossola],': plan of the proposed [Simplon] railway tunnel; scale: 1:50,000. (2) Sections of the proposed tunnel; scale: 1:20,000. Lithographed by Spengler & Co. Dimensions: (1) 29 cm x 70.5 cm; (2) 19.5 cm x 76 cm. Both items illustrated: 'Developpements complementaires d'un avant-projet de chemin de fer par le Simplon', by Charles Jaquemin, Lausanne, 1862, a copy of which was enclosed in Captain E A J Harris's despatch, 28 November 1862.
