Eastern Europe: River Danube. (80) 'Sketch of Danube between Sistova [now Svishtov, Bulgaria] and Zimnitza [now Zimnicea, Romania]. To illustrate passage by Russian Corps on 27th June 1877': map showing contour lines, terrain and place names, on either side of the Danube between Lake Suhaia and Crivina. Apparently continued eastward by MPK 1/485/85. (81) A smaller version of item 80, covering only the area between Lake Suhaia and Verasca. Scale (to both items): 6.5 inches to 6 miles. Lithographed at the Intelligence Branch, Quartermaster General's Department, 1877. Dimensions: (80) 21.5 cm x 52 cm, on sheet 33 cm x 53 cm; (81) 21 cm x 33.5 cm, on sheet 28 cm x 37 cm.
