4 items extracted from CO 879/36/7. Four maps illustrating proposed and actual expedition into Tambaka Country, Sierra Leone, against Chief Carimoo at Samaya and Tambi. (16) Map showing 'Relative Distances'. Scale: 8 miles to 1 inch. Compass indicator. (17) 'Sketch map showing roads to Tambi'. Scale: 8 miles to 1 inch. Compass indicator. Signed G F Browne, Major, 14 February 1892. (18) 'Rough sketch to show route taken in advance on Tambi'. 'Map no. I'. Scale: 4 miles to 1 inch. Compass indicator. Signed G F Browne, Major, Northamptonshire Regiment. (19) 'Route from Kamasasa to Tambi with bivouac of 13 Mar 1892'. 'Map no. II'. Map shows site of bivouac and has notes on terrain. Scale: 1.575 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicator. (17) and (18) lithographed by Judd and Co Ltd.
