Ministry of Aviation drawing no 3617, dated 24 May 1962: 'South-Eastern England - Controlled Airspace'. Outline map of area south of Daventry and east of Bristol, showing control zones, positions of airways radiating from Heathrow and Gatwick airports, radius of 50 miles from Hyde Park Corner, and contour lines to show minimum distances from London required to allow sufficient space for airports with single and parallel runways. Latitude and longitude shown. Originally produced to illustrate Annexe A to Interim Report of the Working Party set up by the Committee [on the Third London Airport] at their second meeting (paper TLAP 11/62), May 1962.
