Ordnance Survey six-inch County Series sheets Lancashire LXXXVI SE and XCIV NE joined to show area between Bolton and Westhoughton. Sheet LXXXVI SE: Provisional Edition; revised 1925 and 1938; additions 1938 and 1948. Sheet XCIV NE: surveyed 1844-1845; relevelled 1926 and 1950; boundaries revised to 1 May 1950; printed and published at the Ordnance Survey, Chessington, 1951. Overprinted with the National Grid. Added title in MS: 'Land belonging to Tempest Estates Ltd & Trustees of Beaumont Estates' (these lands are outlined in red ink). Further MS additions show route of the proposed 275,000 transmission line.
