Gold Coast (now Ghana): Volta district. 'Sketch map the movements of Mr Akers', covering the area around Ho, Zarvie, Zolo and Toinbe, showing roads, rivers and camps occupied in 1888. Scale: 1 inch to 2 miles. Compass indicator. Lithographed by Dangerfield, Covent Garden. Signed: C E Akers, Assistant Inspector and Adjutant GCC. Originally enclosed in Akers's report, 4 July 1888; forwarded [to the Colonial Office] with a letter from Governor W B Griffith, 13 July; the MS originals of the map, report and letter could not be found in CO 96/192 [and were presumably destroyed under statute]. See also House of Commons sessional papers 1888 LXXV [C 5615] (folio 152).
