Marlborough to Boyle: he hopes that the earl of Stair will have brought news of the success [of Oudenaarde]. There are 7,000 prisoners. He has sent M. Lottum with 40 squadrons and 30 battalions to the enemy lines between Warneton and Ypres. The French army is encamped behind the canal between Ghent and Bruges. M. la Motte has moved from Bruges to Ypres with nine battalions and three regiments of cavalry. The last of Prince Eugene's infantry has arrived. Dated at camp at Wervik. ff. 116, 117
