Folio 247. Petition of Thomas Meriton, master of the Duke of Kingston, that although he had a licence to collect a cargo of wine from Boulogne, his ship was seized and ransacked by the Eagle privateer. The captain of the privateer has started proceedings in the High Court of Admiralty to have the ship condemned as prize. Asks that a recommendation for restitution of the ship and goods may be set to the Court.
