Lowe to Quarles. Details of letter of 22 July (missing). Has received no letters from Quarles and is worried because needs instructions about bills now falling due. Now asks Quarles to send 200 cloths in the next fleet as coloured cloths will be much in demand, for the junkers and rich people who hitherto wore black are now weary of it. Lowe thinks could sell as many as 500 coloured cloths in a full year besides packcloths. Details of transactions on bills of exchange etc. Exchange rate. Dated at Stade [near Hamburg].
