Documents concerning legal proceedings: Archibald Inglis and others against Robert Lumsden. (ff. 81-84): (i) Royal order to George Bell and John McLaren (McLawren), sheriffs in hac parte. The royal advocate in the following suit is Master Thomas Hamiltonof Drumcairn. William Gray of Inch [? ture] is donatory of the escheated property of George Kinnaird of [? As the Crown granted the property to Gray on 20 July, it now pertains to him. Kinnaird is to be personally summoned, and all others having or pretending an interest in the matter required by open proclamation at the market crosses of Perth and elsewhere to appear before the lords of council and session on 15 November.
