Description

Order of three J.Ps. in West Riding of co. York, 27 Aug, to the constable of Knottingley and the gaoler of York Castle, to take and receive into custody John Shaw and Edward Horsley, convicted of inciting to riot and to forcing the farmers to sell corn at their own prices. Order from the Mayor of Richmond, co. York, 10 Dec, to the constable of the said borough and the gaoler of York Castle, to take and receive into custody James Nicholson and Matthew Thompson, convicted of committing disorderly acts and publicly proclaiming the price of corn.
