Folio 303: Rochford to Harcourt. Mello has said that, if Sousa made overtures about a treaty, in order to ingratiate himself at Versailles, he will see that he is recalled. Walpole thinks Portugal will enforce the ban on French woollen goods. Encloses letter under flying seal for Fraser, British consul in Algiers.
