Folio 55: Porten to Shelburne. Choiseul has been busy on account of the military reviews. There have been meetings of the Conseil d'Etat about reports that Genoa had named Durazzo and Pallavicini as special ministers to France and Spain, in order to explain her refusal to admit the Jesuits from Spain. The comte de Provence was invested with the order of the Golden Fleece. The Royal Carabiniers are to perform their exercises on foot and on horseback. Thereafter there are no more reviews this year.
