Folio 20: Rochford to Shelburne. Porten has arrived. Rochford discusses his proposed visit to England. Choiseul declined to interfere in negotiations between the two East India companies about the maintenance of the French prisoners of war. Durand has left for England. Châtelet is named as ambassador to London. He is entirely dependent on Choiseul. Breteuil is named ambassador to the Netherlands, St. Priest to Sweden from Portugal, and Clermont d'Amboise to be minister in Portugal.
