Folio 27: Desmaretz to Conway. He discusses at length the differences of interpretation between France and Britain as applied to the drainage of the area. He believes that the canal at Furnes suffices to protect the health of Dunkirk. France can open Mardyke, if she wishes. He encloses f.30. He is grateful for the grant to Brown and the end of the molesting of Britons. Mezières has left.
