Folio 239: Albemarle to Bedford. Enclosing copy of a memorial from Rouillé [f. 243], in place of the one rejected [see f. 224], in which he denies British rights beyond the neck of the peninsula [in Nova Scotia]. Also encloses a French memorial in answer to the British instructions to the Commissaries [see ff. 43 and 90] and a copy of the sketch of full powers issued to the French Commissaries. The French ministers are now ready to discuss sea limits affecting prizes. Asks for briefing and charts; he will not discuss prizes taken before the war.
