Folio 183: Waldegrave to H. Walpole. Fleury complains that the Emperor is refusing to relinquish Lorraine. Fleury believes Robinson is hostile to France and has been trying to sabotage the peace negotiations at Vienna; Robinson's participation in the Treaty of Vienna of 1731 has not been forgotten. Fleury opposed to a Congress, wishes to know if Britain will give guarantee to the settlement.
Date and place: 1736 July 12, Compiègne.
