Folio 158: Captain Robert Porteen, Vulture. Has received orders to sail to the Hope. Is ordered to go on board of several merchant ships and vessels, English as well as foreign ships now bound out of the Thames river which have on board several English men. It is reported that these men intend to leave the kingdom to serve in foreign parts without licence from His Majesty. Requests a further supply of provisions. Deptford
